FEASIBILITY STUDY INTO MULTI-CRITERIA ANALYSIS AND BUDGET ALLOCATION WITH APPLICATIONS IN ENERGY R & D PLANNING

Objective

AS A RESULT OF SUCCESSFUL RESEARCH ONE MIGHT EXPECT A RATIONAL METHOD OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF COMPROMISES BETWEEN EXPERTS WITH DIFFERENT GENERALLY CONFLICTING SUBJECTIVE VIEWS ON TECHNICAL MATTERS.
A CONCRETE APPLICATION IN THE FIELD OF R&D IS INCLUDED IN THE WORK PLAN.
THE SO OBTAINED COMPROMISE IS MORE OPTIMAL ACCORDING TO SOME CRITERIA THAN THE AD-HOC OUTCOMES OF EXPERT MEETINGS.

A FEASIBILITY STUDY SHOULD DEMONSTRATE FIRST THE USEFULNESS OF THE APPLICATION OF THE MATHEMATICAL THEORY OF MULTICRITERIA AND MULTI-OBJECTIVE PROGRAMMING IN THE FIELD OF ENERGY R&D DECISION MAKING

IF THIS DEMONSTRATION PROVES SATISFACTORY, AN EXTENSION OF THE THEORY AND ITS APPLICABILITY BY MEANS OF PAIRWISE COMPARISION TECHNIQUES IN DECISION PROBLEMS IS ENVISAGED NEXT.
