EFOM IMPROVEMENT AND APPLICATIONS: ENERGY SUPPLY ANALYSIS

Objective

THE SCIENTIFIC BENEFITS WILL VARY ACCORDING TO THE TASKS.

A) STUDIES ON ENERGY SUPPLY WILL BE CARRIED OUT ON A MODEL OF EUROPEAN DIMANSION: THE RESULTS OBTAINED WILL BE OF A VAST OR EVEN INCOMPARABLE SCOPE, SINCE NO MODEL AS COMPLETE AS EFOM EXISTS FOR THE WHOLE OF EUROPE. THE RESEARCH SHOULD ALSO ENABLE AN ORIGINAL DATA BASE ON THE ENVIRONMENT TO BE CONTRACTED IN BRUSSELS.
B) THE MARK II VERSION CONTAINS AN EXHAUSTIVE AND DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE MAIN SUPPLY SUB-SECTORS. IT WILL GIVE THE EFOM MODEL A GREATER ANALYTICAL POTENTIAL, USEFUL IN PARTICULAR FOR SPECIFIC STUDIES ON CERTAIN SECTORS AND FOR EVALUATION OF THE INTERNAL MARKET.
C) THE PROJECT WILL MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO DEFINE RESEARCH IN A FIELD IN WHICH KNOWLEDGE IS INADEQUATE DESPITE ITS VITAL IMPORTANCE FOR ENERGY: RESERVES AND RESOURCES. IT WILL ALSO LEAD TO A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF ENERGY AND R&D IN THE VERY LONG TERM

THREE CATEGORIES OF TASK ARE TO BE CARRIED OUT:

A) MAINTENANCE OF THE EFOM MODEL, REPATRIATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT MODELS AND PARTICIPATION IN CASE STUDIES
B) FUNCTION OF THE MARK II VERSION
C) SPECIFIC STUDIES ON RESOURCES AND ON THE ENVIRONMENT.
