Objective
Studies have been carried out in order to improve the performance of a photovoltaic power plant used to power a large cold store, resulting in a very attractive use of solar energy. 2 independent systems, a main and a backup system, share the photovoltaic array and a common cooling circuit. Each system is automatically managed by a devoted control unit and is operated completely independently depending on the cold cell temperature and the available solar energy.
