DEVELOPMENT OF A WIND TURBINE GENERATOR OF 34 M ROTOR DIAMETER WITH STALL POWER CONTROL.

Objective

THE PROJECT AIMS AT THE DEVELOPMENT OF A LOW-COST WIND TURBINE HAVING THE FOLLOWING PROBABLE CHARACTERISTICS :

ROTOR DIAMETER : 34M
NUMBERS OF BLADES : 3
EFFECT REGULATION : STALL
GENERATOR, ELECTRIC EFFECT : 400 KW
HEIGHT OF TOWER : 35 M
ENERGY PRODUCTION (ROUGHNESS CLASS 1) APPROX. 800 MWH/YR

THE DISTINCTIVE FEATURES OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE WIND POWER PLANT ARE TRADITIONAL BUT WITH ESSENTIAL NEW ELEMENTS WHICH HAVE NEVER BEEN TESTED ON THIS SIZE OF A PLANT BEFORE. IN CHOOSING THE SYSTEM IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THE FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES (POWER-STALL REGULATION AND ELECTRIC GRID CONNECTION) HAVE BEEN TRIED IN OTHER RELATIONS. THE PRICE OF CONSTRUCTION MUST BE LOW WITH PROSPECTS OF A MORE FAVOURABLE PRICE PER PRODUCED ENERGY UNIT THAN HAS BEEN SEEN TILL NOW. A LOWER ENERGY STANDARD PRICE (ABOUT 2 D.KR/KWH/YR) IS THE PRIMARY MOTIVE FOR TAKING PART IN THIS PROJECT. REGARDING THE ENERGY STANDARD PRICES OF PLANTS IN THE MARKET.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
