Geographical extension of the gem-e3 general equilibrium model database (DAT-GEM-E3)

Objective

The general objective of this project is to extend the geographical dimension of the database of the general equilibrium model GEM-E3 to cover most accession countries and to model more explicitly the Rest of the World by separating it into developed world outside Europe, the oil producing countries and rest of the world. The economic data to collect include national accounts data and Input-Output tables to be integrated into a Social Accounting Matrix for each country/region and the trade flows between countries/regions individually and bisector. These data will be complemented with R&D data on innovation and spill over effects. The energy and environmental data cover energy balances, emission coefficients, emission transport and transformation parameters and damages of all major pollutants linked to energy use. Data on energy technologies will be added to the Swiss database.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
