Objective
Decentralised energy generation will play an important role in the energy generation within the next years. While technologies such as photovoltaic systems, biomass boilers have been developed for small scale decentralised use, small scale wind mill systems today are still too expensive to allow their brake-through on a wide commercial scale. To allow small wind mill systems to become compatible the following developments to overcome existing technological barriers, the objective of this project is to developed
(a) an innovative double-slit fast rotating PMG generator for gear-less wind turbines,
(b) inappropriate power management unit for synchronising the generator with the utility grit and managing power distribution from and to the grit according tithe actual demand and
(c) a noise emission reduced overall system design.
