Objective
Executive Summary
Two European Life Lines presently under discussion shall be mapped by remote sensing techniques. Advanced image interpretation and classification techniques shall be used and adapted to the specific needs of recognizing detailed wetland characteristics in the Drava -Mura river project (Austria, Hungary, Kroatia) as well as for protection of the Spanish Canadas.
Work shall be performed by a complementary team of local experts in Spain and Austria together with Dornier's Earthobservation Data Service (EDS) in order to prove the benefit of remote
sensing for environmental planning and support of decision
makers in planning, implementing and monitoring European Life Lines.
