Objective
Biogas extracted from the digestion of waste is an excellent fuel but contains a number of trace components that have harmful effects on gas engines, requiring expensive repairs and causing service interruptiçons. The objective of the intended project is the development of a new economical process to minimize the problems by cooling the biogas and by removing the harmful trace components out of the biogas before being used in gas engines. It is intended to install a testing plant i module construction on site of two power stations in operation and to carry out the necessary experimental research. The main results expected in comparison to the applied systems in Europe are:
- higher efficiency and reliability of the process by a simplified technology
- by far less investment and operating costs.
