ANALYSIS AND CLEANING OF VAPOUR CONDENSATES FROM DRYING PAPER AND BOARD

Objectif

DEVELOPMENT OF CLEAN TECHNOLOGIES FOR AIR AND WATER POLLUTION ABATEMENT AND ENERGY CONSERVATION IN THE PAPER INDUSTRY.

VAPOURS FROM DRYING PAPER AND PAPER BOARD CONTAIN HEAT ENERGY OF 2.500 TO 4.000 KJ/KG OF PRODUCT, WHICH MAY BE RECUPERATED. IF THE PAPER MILL USES A MODERN RECYCLING TECHNOLOGY, NEEDING ONLY A SMALL SPECIFIC AMONG OF FRESH WATER (< 10 KG H20/KG), THESE VAPOURS CONTAIN A CONSIRABLE AMOUNT OF DISSOLVED SUBSTANCES CAUSING POLLUTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT. BY CONDENSING THE VAPOURS THE HEAT ENERGY CAN BE RECUPERATED. IF THE CONDENSATE IS CLEANED AND RECYCLED, THE POLLUTION WILL BE AVOIDED.

TYPE AND CONCENTRATION OF THE SOLUTED SUBSTANCES IN THE VAPOUR CONDENSATE SHALL BE ANALYSED. POSSIBILITIES FOR CLEANING THE CONDENSATE SHALL BE INVESTIGATED. THE RESULTS WILL GIVE THE NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE FOR THE TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT OF ECONOMIC HEAT RECOVERY EQUIPMENT, BY WHICH THE ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION WILL BE ELIMINATED.
