Objective
HIGH REDUCTION OF POLLUTION IN TEXTILE EFFLUENTS BY MEANS OF BIOLOGICAL SYSTEMS OR CHEMICAL METHODS.
IN THIS RESEARCH PROJECT THE COMPARISON OF THE FOLLOWING PROCESSES IS TREATED:
- PRECIPITATION/FLOCCULATION/SEDIMENTATION
- PRECIPITATION/FLOCCULATION/FLOTATION
- BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT WITH HIGH CONCENTRATION OF BIOMASS
- COAL-BASED BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT WITH HIGH CONCENTRATION OF BIOMASS, HIGH AGE OF SLUDGE AND SHORT RESIDENCE TIME.
THE POTENTIAL FOR INCREASING OR STABILIZING THE BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF THE EFFLUENTS IS INVESTIGATED BY ADDING COKING COAL OR ACTIVATED CARBON.
DIFFERENT TECHNICAL COMPONENTS FOR BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT, LIKE THE AERATION PROCESS OR THE SLUDGE DEWATERING SYSTEM, ARE APPRAISED.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
