Objective
TO ASSESS THE VARIABILITY OF WATER VAPOUR BUDGET.
THE RESEARCH WILL BE PERFORMED TO STUDY THE ANNUAL AND INTER-ANNUAL ATMOSPHERIC VARIABILITY OF HYDROLOGICAL CYCLE FOR THE PERIOD 1980-1986. THE DATA TO BE ANALYSED ARE :
1) WIND FIELD, GEOPOTENTIAL HEIGHT, HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURE AT DIFFERENT LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE (1000,850,700,500,400 AND 300 ) PROVIDED BY ECMRWF.
2) VERTICAL PROFILES OF THE METEOROLOGICAL DATA PROVIDED BY THE RADIOSONDE STATIONS.
3) SYNOPTICAL SURFACE DATA FROM 27.5 DEGREES N TO 50 DEGREES N AND AT LONGITUDES 10 DEGREES W TO 40 DEGREES E.
MERIDIONAL AND ZONAL FLUXES OF WATER VAPOUR AT DIFFERENT LEVELS WILL BE CALCULATED. FOURIER ANALYSIS OF THE RESULTS WILL BE PERFORMED. FINALLY, THE FLUX DIVERGENCE OF TOTAL HUMIDITY, EVAPOTRANSPIRATION AND THE PRECIPITATION WILL BE CALCULATED FOR DIFFERENT DOMAINS.
