MODELLING OF MULTIPHASE JETS IN THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY OF A CONTAINMENT BREACH

Objective

TO PROVIDE THEORETICAL RESULTS FROM A COMPUTER CODE ON THE MULTIDIMENSIONAL FLOW OF A MULTIPHASE JET.

THE STUDY WILL BE DONE WITH AN ALLREADY DEVELOPED SOFTWARE, TRIO WHICH IS PROPERTY OF C E A IN ITS PRESENT STATE, THIS SOFTWARE COMPUTES 3D TURBULENT SINGLE PHASE FLOWS.
THE WORK WILL BE COMPOSED OF THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS :
- BIBLIOGRAPHIC STUDY ON THE MODELLING OF THE TRANSPORT OF SOLID AND LIQUID PARTICLES IN FLOWS SIMILAR TO THOSE ENCOUNTERED AFTER A BREAK OF CONTAINMENT. EVOLUTION OF LIQUID PARTICLES UNDER EVAPORATION AND BREAKING PROCESS.
- SELECTION AND IMPLEMENTATION IN TRIO OF MODELS COMPATIBLE WITH THE MULTIDIMENSIONAL FLOW MODEL.
- CONFRONTATION OF THE THEORETICAL RESULTS WITH EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS OF PART 6, 10 AND 11 OF THE ANNEX.
1) FLOW VISUALIZATION,
2) CONCENTRATION MEASUREMENTS,
3) LIQUID DROPLETS DISTRIBUTIONS.
THE INITIAL CONDITIONS OF THESE NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS ARE THE MASS FLOW RATE, TEMPERATURE AND COMPOSITION OF THE MIXTURE AT THE BREACH AND THEY WILL BE OBTAINED FROM PART 4 AND 5.
