Objective
TO ASSESS WHETHER THE COMBINATION OF NOISE AND VIBRATION IN DWELLINGS HAS MORE EFFECTS ON INHABITANTS THAN THE ADDITION OF EFFECTS OF EACH STIMULUS APPLIED ALONE.
TWO LABORATORIES (CSTB, GRENOBLE AND IMU, DUSSELDORF) COLLABORATE FOR SUBMITTING VOLUNTEERS TO A SERIES OF STIMULI:
- NOISE ALONE AS MEASURED IN DWELLINGS.
- VIBRATION ALONE AS MEASURED IN DWELLINGS.
- COMBINATION OF NOISE AND VIBRATIONS AS ABOVE.
IN BOTH LABORATORIES, THE SUBJECTS' REACTIONS ARE RECORDED IN CONDITIONS ALLOWING FOR COMPARISON OF RESULTS AND COMMON ANALYSIS OF DATA FOR DETERMINING THE EFFECTS OF THE COMBINATION OF TWO STIMULI.
