Objective
Our aim is to develop a measuring system which uses georama technology allowing simple non-destructive examination of canalisation systems (waste water channels) and checking the surrounding soil in which they are embedded for cavities. During the measurement the measuring data are to be displayed directly on a display and stored for later data backup on magnetic tape. We need to develop a software which enables the user of such a measuring system to view an evaluation directly on the display and use it to assess the state of a canalisation system. This measuring system has to meet the following requirements: Ascertaining the wall thickness of the pipe for determination its current bearing capacity. Recognition of the bedding state of the pipe and the compactness of the surrounding soil. Detection of leakages. Detection of cavities. Assessment of the pipe covering regarding collapsing of the surface.
