European phenological network - a network for increasing efficiency, added value and use of phenological monitoring, research, and data in europe (EPN)

Objective

EPN aims to improve monitoring, assessment and prediction of climate induced phonological changes and their effects in Europe. The network will increase the efficiency, use, and added value of phonological research, monitoring, and data management in Europe. Changes in phonological events will have a wide range of consequences for ecology, agriculture, and human health. To cover the many scientific and policy aspects, both researchers and relevant end-users are involved. Through the organisation of two European conferences and six specialists workshops, the network enhances the coherence and collaboration in phonological research and monitoring in Europe, and thereby improves the exploitation and synthesis of existing data. By developing a comprehensive structure for data collection, management and dissemination, EPN will also enhance the application of phonological information by many end-users.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
