Biodiversity assessment and conservation science

Objective

This programme will allow Fellows great flexibility to obtain a blend of skills & experience that best matches their own career aspirations, and that builds on their own past experience. Fellows will enjoy an inter-disciplinary & multi-national work environment, where they will gain experience of a wide range of active research programmes. Participating Fellows will benefit from the three principal innovative aspects to the CBC: 1) Juxtaposition of state-of-the-art expertise in theoretical modelling, laboratory and field experimentation, and long-term observation. 2) Integration of biological, geographical and geological perspectives to provide the appropriate disciplinary expertise for scaling up biological work in space and time. 3) Global reach of field programmes, with active biodiversity research on seven continents.
