Objective
The proposed project aims at establishing an international network of experts in the field of Kyoto Mechanisms, working in the private sector, universities, governments and supra-national organisations. By means of this network, increased information exchange should lead to more transparency on the current state of theatre in several key areas related to the Kyoto Mechanisms, like baselines, the potential role for renewable energy sources, capacity building through the Clean Development Mechanism, etc. This will be achieved by the organisation of a workshop to get the network started, followed by the establishment of an e-mail discussion list, an internet website, a Who is Who in Kyoto Mechanisms and the composition of overview papers. An active network of experts in this field contributing significantly to increased levels of information exchange and collaboration in the field of Kyoto Mechanisms.
