GMES - forum organisation user requirements

Objective

G-FOUR project will establish a continuous and bi-directional information flow between GMES stakeholders, by organising GMES conferences during the next 4 EU presidencies associated with users consultations. This will provide a set of structured recommendations resulting from user consultations as a basis for future actions on research needs and infrastructure requirements and will develop a common vision for GMES enabling stakeholders to understand what could be delivered by 2008. Staged approach will allow results to be obtained after the 2nd, 3rd and 4th conf. and therefore enables calls for research projects be launched by EC and ESA in early 2004. The project will rely on a Technical Committee composed of senior scientists external to the consortium with renowned expertise in GMES domain, TC will ensure technical consistency and maximum synergy between WPs, and independence of recommendations issued by the project.
