Objective
This GMES Socio-economic Study (GSeS) represents one of the 'Assess and Structure Strand 2 activities' of the GMES Action Plan (200l-2003). This seventeen-month study proposes to carry out a cost benefit analysis (CBA) for each of the Strand 1 Thematic projects. An analysis will follow of potential means of funding the GMES pilot services, to be developed by the Strand 1 projects, built upon an understanding of where the benefits accrue. These results will be communicated to the GMES Fora to raise awareness of the benefits of the GMES services and to foster dialogue between all the GMES stakeholders.
