Objective The project objective is the development of an up-to date research infrastructure for air pollution studies in the NIMH. The proposal is motivated by the social and economical restructuring and the policy of integration within the European research area. As the Balkans presently appear to be the area with less studied air quality in Europe the present project results will contribute not only to the national, but also to the EU activities for monitoring and controlling the air pollution levels and their effect on humans health, environment, climate, etc. The planned scope of work comprises: creation of databases, adopting and adaptation of advanced modelling tools; staff training; increased networking with EU centres.
