Innovation and Change in SMIs-SMEs

Objective

The structure is designed to be a tool for economic development. It focuses on the field of innovation, and on quality and organization in the form of counselling and training activities directed more particularly towards SMEs and SMIs. More specifically, a project called AGROFORM is being developed for the purpose of training all-round technicians for the food and agrobusiness sectors (biotechnologies, hygiene, quality, automated production).

MAIN DOMAIN OF INNOVATION:

Training providers as innovative service centres.

TARGET GROUP(S):

Managers. People working in SMEs.

OPERATING CONTEXT:

Quality assurance development. Productivity improvement. Raising qualifications.

TECHNOLOGY:

Information and communication technologies. Life science and technologies (incl. biotechnology, agricultural technology, biomedical technology).

INVOLVEMENT WITH ENTERPRISES:

Training consortia. Training institute-enterprise cooperation. Partnership between large enterprises and SMEs.

INVOLVEMENT OF SOCIAL PARTNERS:

Joint social partnership steering/advisory groups.

RESULTS:

Training programmes/courses for advanced technologies. Transferable models and concepts. Innovative training materials.
