Objective
To encourage SMEs in the building sector to implement quality certification according to the professional standards (APQCR and\or european standards ISO 9001-9002-9003) within two years. To pilot a training-action-counselling scheme to encourage companies to implement certifiable quality management. To develop a training methodology adapted to the SMEs of the BTP and to the specificities of building sites, which is transferable to other countries of the Community.
MAIN DOMAIN OF INNOVATION:
Training providers as innovative service centres. The project involves a group of enterprises in which the training-counselling partner creates a new service: training of the responsible for quality-insurance and setting-up of a strategic action-plan.
TARGET GROUP(S):
Managers. People working in SMEs. Unqualified or less qualified.
OPERATING CONTEXT:
Quality assurance development. Productivity improvement. Raising qualifications. This process of helping SMEs of BTP to improve quality aims at improving the economic performance of the enterprise and assumes a raise in competences.
TECHNOLOGY:
All types used in the organisation of the construction process. The project brings SMEs to reconsider their organisation and to develop and implement new organisational procedures.
INVOLVEMENT WITH ENTERPRISES:
Partnership with SMEs consortia. Partnership with employers associations, trade unions, joint bodies. Training institute-enterprise cooperation.
INVOLVEMENT OF SOCIAL PARTNERS:
Projects managed and coordinated jointly by social partners. Joint social partnership steering/advisory groups.
RESULTS:
To date, 30 SMEs have been involved in this process. A transnational transfer is now possible.
