Thematic network on decommissioning of nuclear installations

Objective

The purpose is to organise, develop and operate a Thematic Network of EU organisations involved in decommissioning in order to encourage continuous improvement in capability and effectiveness leading to increased competitiveness.The Network will be steered by a Steering Group, drawn from Belgo process, CEA,ENEL, ENRESA, Niras/Ondraf. EWN and UKAEA. The Steering Group will drive forward activities either initiated by the Network or suggested by the EC, aiming principally at increasing and transferring knowledge and facilitating training and experience exchange particularly so that organisations derive maximum benefit from previous and current EC funded projects.The members of the Network, representing a wide spectrum of EU organisations , will advise and support the Steering Group for implementation of the objectives and for future expansion of the Network.
