Probing quark and gluon correlations in hard electroweak scattering processes

Objective

My PhD work is devoted to the phenomenological study of some exclusive pro- cesses at large momentum transfer within the framework of perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics.
I wish to increase my understanding of inclusive and semi-inclusive har pro- cesses. In this domain many more experimental data exist or will be obtained in the near future (HERMES experiment at DESY), providing a test for new theo- retical approaches. My education on hard exclusive processes will help me to have a better understanding of the phenomenology of inclusive processes and may then facilitate the formulation of new ideas in this field.
I would like to carry out my work as a postdoc at an institute with an active theory group working in related areas and with close contact to experimentalists. Results expected from the research project are clarification of the possibilities to use high energy processes for probing the quark and gluon structure of hadrons.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
