Updating the classification of algebraic space curves a hundred years after max noether's treatise

Objective

My research project concerns the classification of algebraic space curves. It is part of a vast program coordinated by Professor R. Hartshorne and involving several researchers in Europe.
The final aim of the program is to update the classification of algebraic space curves of low degree given by Max Noether at the end of the last century. Both classical methods such as liaison - revisited in the modern language of algebraic geometry - and recently developed techniques will be used (e.g. the Hartshorne- Serre correspondence between curves and rank two reflexive sheaves, which were the subject of my Ph.D. thesis).

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
