Objective



The research project titled "Planning the Long Term Company Survival" deals with restructuring of the British and
Italian Motor Car Industry between the 70s and the 90s. The topic is relevant for several reasons. M.C.I. is a strategical sector of the European Economy; the analysis of FIAT and British Leyland restructuring addresses relevant questions in both Business History and Business Economics.
The topic lies in the field of Business History. The methodology is mainly based on the analysis of forecasts. The aim the research is to understand strategies to plan survival and growth of M.C.I. within mature market.
