Research objectives and content
My project concerns the dissection of the components involved in hypoxic adaptation of pulmonary arterial myocytes. Molecular cloning and functional expression of K+ channels and their O2 sensor(s) will be undertaken. Training content(objective, benefit and expected impact)
Combining physiology, molecular biology and biophysical analyses, this study should yield valuable informations concerning oxygen reactivity and human pathologies such as pulmonary hypertension.
