Exploitable results
An automated inspection system based has been developed on standard technologies and components which promises to bring low-cost quality control to the textile industry. The first prototypical system has been with the aim of testing the hardware and software modules in an industrial environment. The prototype has been tested only for a restricted number of functionality, following the approach proposed in the testing procedures document. In particular the tests have been carried out both in static and dynamic conditions. The result images have been analysed and compared with the evaluation given by the end-user experts. The comparison demonstrated the ability of the procedure implemented to detect the anomalous regions with respect to the false positive. The results show that the system is suitable for the pre-classification stage, while macro-classification will be the next step.
