VOCAL provides help to allocate the available resources (both human and technical) to the various operations to be performed in a wide range of activities, taking into account all the constraints resulting from legal rules, company agreements and habits, professional qualifications, availability of technical resources. This application has been implemented for an electricity utility company, producing and distributing energy to individuals and industries. The various tasks to be executed are divided into three types: emergencies, attention to consumer and maintenance, with different priorities. With constraint programming at its core, Vocal is perfectly optimized to counsel corporations, organizations and distributors on logistics (visits, maintenance, industrial processes), resource allocation (boarding gates, exam rooms, publicity spaces, vehicles) and personnel allocation (management of teams, mobile personnel). Furthermore, Vocal is qualified to handle a multitude of domains, including transport, multi-site institutions or businesses, maintenance industries, distribution services, human resource intensive firms, and more.
