Objective
AVS-TTN focuses on advanced video surveillance (AVS) techniques and applications, i.e. applications where video-cameras and image processing/understanding techniques, complemented, as required by the application, by other dedicated or integrated sensors, are used to detect 'abnormal' events, which can then be recorded, used for automated control or forwarded to a human operator for final decision.
Initial applications include using AVS techniques for the prevention of vandalism, theft and protection of employees and customers.
