Workshop on the requirements for the european validation methodology

Objective

The objective of this proposal is to plan & run a two-day workshop to provide the European Cosmetics, Health, Medicines & Nutrition (CHMN) manufacturing & processing industry with a set of requirements for the future development of a European Validation Methodology (EVM). Validation is the process by which industry provides documented proof for compliance with a large array of regulations for the safeguard of the consumers. Applying validation results in safe & economical goods & services for human consumption. At present the requirements & in particular their interpretation are diverse & fragmented, leading to contradicting applications & uneconomical replication of efforts. The absence of a Europe-wide or international validation methodology to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements demands swift action to ensure European industries interests & needs are asserted, assuring continued competitiveness in a strongly regulated market.
