Objective
The idea of the proposal is to solve problems of the chemical industries related to the application of conventional oxidation methods (using stoichiometric oxidants) in multi-step fine chemicals syntheses demanded by their customers on short notice. "Time-to-market" constraints forbid the development of on-purpose catalytic oxidation methods despite their higher economical and environmental attractivity and force the industries into a strategy of waste-treatment or disposal instead of avoiding its generation. The project will focus on solving these problems by development of sustainable catalytic oxidation technologies : three oxidative transformation methods as such and in combination with membrane technology will be developed: oxidative halogenation, dark single oxygenation and epoxidation, and thereby increase European Industries' ability to produce fine chemicals in a competitive and environmentally friendly way.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.
