Objective
The aim of the project is provide an extended enterprise solution to manage the knowledge generated during the industrial product life-cycle to improve the design, production and support of complex low volume. products. This product knowledge is not limited to the manufacturer but comes from all companies and individuals involved all along the product life-cycle. This knowledge is needed to provide complete information about the product The result will be a practical solution providing management of product knowledge throughout the product life-cycle, particularly including suppliers and customers making use of the extended enterprise. The consortium includes two organisations representing large user groups from European industry and one of the largest European vendors of industrial software systems, which will ensure substantial impact at European level.
