Objective
The main problem is that service engineering is not a traditional part of engineering education and there is a gap in postgraduate qualification courses and also in the further education and training in companies. Only bigger organisations have the resources to introduce a systematic development process for service innovations. This worldwide experience especially from bigger companies should be made available and made suitable for the needs of SMEs. The whole project is split into the following three subproblems: General concepts (corresponding TRA 1.5 improved development process of innovative service concepts), Innovation studio for product-services, feasibility studies for PSS as exemplary R&D for innovative product-services.
