Objective
The main objective of IPCIM is to develop new and innovative welding techniques for new materials and to develop welding control techniques for large section and sheet metal steel welding in the manufacturing industry which are not yet available. When considering the manufacture of fabricated structures by welding, two technology groups are required:
1) process validation and process control and
2) integration in real manufacturing environment.
While former programmes focused on the development of novel welding techniques, it is today necessary to invest in the reliability, reproducibility, and autonomy of these welding techniques to ensure sustainable growth and competitiveness of industries using large section and sheet metal welding with special regard to environment-friendly and waste-free high-tech production.
Programme(s)

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
