Objective
The aim of this proposal is to develop an efficient non polluting process to produce massive 3D porous cellulose/chitosan objects - sponges, composite matrix for filtration, wound healing dressings - .We propose therefore to mix different forms and different proportions of cellulose and chitosan in an NMMO-water solution, together with a porous generating agent and followed by a regeneration step. Another route 18 to make 3D cellulose sporges (issued from the SPONGE project) and impregnate them with a chitosan derivative solution. In any case, the samples will be tested in terms of biocompatibility, bioactivity and filtration properties for applications in the field of sanitary, wound healing and water purification.
