Objective
The DEGITEX project's objective is to design and realise an innovative Digital Printing System for textile articles, based on digital technology; it will allow: to join together the advantages of four-colour printing and spot-colour printing. Improving the quality of digital printing up to the quality similar to the one of traditional printing. Making the digital plants non-substitutive of the traditional plants but complementary. The main innovative deliverables of the Project will be: a station of pre-treatment of the fabric, never thought of until today for a similar application; a dedicated system for fabric transportation, specifically developed for the textile sector and not adapted from paper transportation; Innovative Plotter, Software and printer heads specific for spot colour printing. It will allow the following main industrial benefits: Increased print speed; Customised production of samples; Speed set up for high "variant/design change"; Low environmental impact
