Sustainable road arisings project

Objective

This proposal describes a novel technology for conversion of sub soil construction waste, and pulverised fuel ash (pea) into a non-plastic construction material. The reprocessed material will reduce the requirement for landfill dumping of both waste products and produce an alternative aggregate for use in road construction The recycling of these waste products will have a positive effect on the environment by removing the need for extra landfill sites, reducing the heavy freight traffic that is currently used to import and export the material and reduce the need for new aggregate quarry sources.
