Objective
The project is focused on the development of solvent-free conducting adhesives for the gluing of raise access floors. An access floor is a number of panels supported by pedestals placed at each corner and standing in adhesive secured feet on a concrete building slab. The void between the slab and the underside of the panels facilitates the convenient storage of building services, such as cables, pipes, AC ducts, etc. Due to the electric cables conduction, electrostatic charges, that can be a serious problem in industry, are generated in this type of floors. In the access floors, the static charges are avoiding choosing conducting coatings, which are unloaded through a contact and an exit system to ground, of some supports of the system. However, to obtain a suitable conduction, it is also necessary to use conducting adhesives creating a pathway of moderate electrical conductivity and allowing static charges to flow safely to a grounding point.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
