Objective
Research and development of standard mode-locked laser oscillators is proposed. Combining the skills and possibilities of the participating partners like the experience in diode-pumping, in mode-locking by saturable absorber mirrors, in the growing of dispersion correcting mirrors, or in the innovative active-feedback technology to suppress undesired Q-switching, cheap and user-friendly pico- and femtosecond laser light sources for the near infrared shall be developed. The availability of standard, small and comfortably usable devices will open new markets for the laser itself and for application products based on these lasers. The exploratory phase will enable us to search for participating companies and to explore and write a phae-2-CRAFT proposal.
