Objective
Good pigment dispersion has always been a critical factor in the manufacture of a coating, because it is the most complicated and cost-intensive production stage in paint manufacture. This project deals with the development of a new industrial technology based on ultrasonic principles, which would increase, in a shorter time than usually, the pigment dispersion and so the qualities of paint. This proposed project intends to be developed through a European project. The different tasks of the project are to define water and solvents based pastes properties toward ultrasound and to develop the ultrasonic equipment for the prototype, which have to be validated from an industrial and economical point of view.
