Promotion Of Results in Transport research And Learning

Objective

PORTAL aims at exploiting the exiting results from EU research on local and regional transport to generate new teaching materials & improve dissemination of existing materials, for use in leading educational institutions, distance -learning& self-instruction.

Partners: Universities, other education and research institutes, local and transport authorities in 19 European states, who have completed over 70 EU-funded research projects.

Work Plan: Survey demand for and current availability of material based on EU research results. Set an outline for new material.

Produce teaching/ learning material: not fixed courses but flexible small modules for each topic; each available in different forms (language, target group, type of training). Test materials 50 educational sites throughout Europe before finalising.

Output: online database, supported by a central help desk, broadcast-quality audio and video, interactive learning packages and hard-copy visual aids.
