Objective
The AeroSME project is intended to stimulate participation of aeronautical SMEs in Fifth Framework Programme projects through a pragmatic process of information flow and support. Building on feasibility study and database phases, AeroSME Phase III breaks new ground in establishing an AeroDESK that will provide a focal point for SMEs and large companies in establishing RTD Projects. Acting in parallel to established mechanisms, AeroDESK will create a tailored service for aeronautical SMEs to improve the communication process with the larger companies in the aerospace sector. A number of workshops will take place to provide the type of "hands-on" support requested by AeroSMEs. The Aero SME Phase III proposal benefits from the involvement of a wide range of participants, from the largest aerospace companies in Europe through the National Aerospace trade Associations to SMEs.
