Objective
With Complex System it is usually intended a system including hardware, software and human "components", often a system with highly automated controls and a real- timing working system. Moreover a Complex System is often a Safety-related system, i.e. a system in which the incorrect behaviour could lead to loss of human life, serious environmental damage, injuries to or illness of persons. The proposed project (ESACS) is aimed to respond to the needs of the European aeronautic and other industry, and hence to the EU, to enhance the safety analysis in the Complex Systems engineering process in order to: -achieve a higher confidence in developing safe and reliable complex systems -facilitate for development and certification of evolving technologies -contribute to the reduction of development time.
