Technology development for aeroelastic simulations on unstructured grids (TAURUS)

Objective

The development of an efficient user-friendly simulation technology for aero elasticity simulations will be carried out utilising a highly sophisticated, already existing CFD software for unstructured grids as a backbone. This software. will be improved with respect to the needs for fluid-structure interaction. A coupling procedure will be developed, making use of the most advanced approaches. Interfaces will allow using any CSM method indicated by the consortium. In addition an interface between the cooping method and the CFD code will be provided to allow for validation of the TAURUS CFD software with in-house codes by the partners. All tolls including the user environment will be ported to and tested by using an integration platform to be accessed by HPC networks. The system will be accomplished by visualisation/monitoring tool The main objective is to achieve a common European simulation technology for aero elastic applications.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
