Junior euromat - a conference on materials science and engineering for young materials scientists 28-31 august 2000

Objective

JUNIOR EUROMAT represents an international conference on the opportunities of young materials scientists in education and on careers. The conference has been held biannually since 1992. The focus is on exchange of scientific achievements by young materials scientists, student exchange across Europe, characterization of career opportunities for young materials engineers in industry and at universities. The conference points primarily to Masters and PhD students and ¨ reflects the informal atmosphere of a summer school. Previous conferences have attracted young scientist from more than 20 countries including eastern Europe . In 2000, the conference is particularly trying to demonstrate to industry the high potential of materials engineers available across Europe.
