Centre for photoactive materials

Objective

Linking The Centre of Photoactive Materials with eight outstanding European laboratories will result in three cooperative research areas involving design, synthesis, and studies of new materials with potential applications in optoelectronics, laser technology, photo medicine and environmental protection. Three scientific workshops will be organized. The web site of the Polish photo science community will be established, followed by regular national meetings, attended by distinguished speakers from EU. Mission from/to the Centre to/from leading Eastern European laboratories will integrate the latter into the European research area. Education and training will provide specialists in chemical synthesis, photochemistry and spectroscopy. New optical instruments will be constructed. Promotion of the Centre capabilities, achievements and expertise should bring links to industrial institutions.
