Objective
Modern semiconductor optoelectronics Centre at Vilnius University is being expanded by combining the scientific expertise, human, and technical resources in the fields of semiconductor physics, non-linear optics, and modern semiconductor device technologies. By strengthening the existing contacts with international scientific community and with the local industrial and social environment, the Centre is going to become a nucleus for spreading the new knowledge and technologies in the fields of non-linear optical characterisation of semiconductor materials, development of ultra fast optoelectronic and all-optical devices, and solid-state lighting. The steps foreseen in the Project for implementation of new light technologies and for dissemination of the Centre's activities will ultimately transform it to a high-technology cluster of semiconductor optoelectronics.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
