Objective
In LOTEC new concepts for high-performance, low-temperature curable coatings will be developed. In a first approach, new radiation-curable materials will be developed that can serve as binder systems for powder coatings. The saroe material concepts will then also be used to develop new binders for radiation-curable water-based decorative coatings. Other, more innovative approaches to water-based decorative coatings will also be investigated, based on 2-component technology. LOTEC will lead to high-quality coatings that combine positive energy aspects (low temperature curable), environmental aspects (0% solvent) and working conditions aspects (no neurotoxic vapours).
