Objective
In all industries developing leading-edge products, testing periods are a critical part of overall development times. An increasing complexity of M&T systems makes it more and more difficult to verify the reliability of test results in time and at reasonable costs. The AMPA (Automatic Measurement Plausibility and quality Assurance) vision is to create a novel generic software methodology and instrumentation framework that can be combined with application-specific expert know-how. This concept will then allow building flexible and scaleable instruments and systems equipped with application specific packages for measured data quality and plausibility. The project results will be validated in the international and economically significant industry sectors of automotive and engine development, and applicability will be demonstrated also in neighbouring industry areas of aeronautics, electricity generation and alternative energies.
